Winterpast Farm has hosted pre-schools, Scout goups, Mom groups, Homeschooler groups and public school groups. One time we had 150 second graders here! Farmer Mary hired a few farmer and a forestor friend to help that time! There is plenty of parking and school buses can get in and out easily.
2017 The animals of Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo drew record crowds tonight (Dec 23) at the second night of Live Nativity at Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh. Following the very sad news of Lake Lure’s beloved Rainbow Bridge being destroyed, Farmer Mary is making a much larger display space available at Winterpast Farm in Wake Forest NC. Folks are encouraged to visit or to text (919-244-1800) her their dog/s name/s and she will make a personalized wooden bone and add it to the ALL Dogs Go To Heaven display in Birdsong Chapel along the forest path to 🌲Forest Dog Private Playground, a 4 acre private dog park. 🍄🟫After a rain 🌧️ there are always interesting discoveries in the forest at Winterpast Farm in Wake Forest NC. This edible Coral Fungi was zig zagging across the forest floor this morning. There are many similar species that are inedible and toxic.The bright yellow species is apparently very tasty but Farmer Mary will leave it for the forest animals to enjoy.

🦔SONIC has been on a home visit this week and is coming back to Winterpast today. Farmer Mary has been cleaning his cage she keeps in her garage where he has a reptile heating pad to stay warm.
🦔Whenever you visit Winterpast ask Farmer Mary if SONIC is at the farm and she will be happy to go and get him out for a while.
🐰🦔🐥Do you know about Farmer Mary’s unique Pet Hosting Program? Take a small caged animal (bunny, guinea pig, SONIC, a group of baby chicks when available) home to care for. Have a highly educational animal experience. Learn how much a small caged animal poops 💩 then bring it back! Almost all hosts of all ages get over the whole idea of needing to “own” a small caged pet.
👍🏽Please spread the word about Pet Hosting and help Farmer Mary recycle existing pets instead of just creating more who will probably be dropped off at Winterpast eventually like all the other former pets who live here. Skip that part by hosting!
